Greek PM Tsipras: 'Revolution Means Opening Roads Even when they don’t Exist'

tsiprasA real revolution means opening paths even when they don’t exist, outgoing Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras told SYRIZA’s political secretariat during a meeting.
Tsiras said that the Left never had the luxury to choose the time or circumstances to give its battles, while he noted that “it’s not revolutionary to choose to escape from reality or to create a virtual reality. What’s revolutionary is to open roads even when they don’t exist.”
The leader of SYRIZA also said that the party has the opportunity to develop a new relationship with society that supports it, as well as the possibility “to from the sharp ideological and political position of a modern radical left, free from conservative remnants or illusions.”
During the meeting, Tsipras recommended the formation of three committees: one for the election program, one for the compilation of the ballot and a third for one for communication. The secretariat also decided to reconvene on Monday.
