German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed on Tuesday her reservations to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras over the agreement on Greece’s new program, insisting on a bridge loan instead, according to Greek government sources.
During a telephone conversation that was made at her initiative, the two leaders also spoke about the same issue on Monday, during which Merkel first expressed her concern.
Tsipras rejected Merkel’s proposal both times, arguing that the government, by implementing the July 12 decisions, came to an agreement with the institutions and this agreement cannot be annulled.
