Hollywood insiders have let it slip that Maria Menounos will be replacing Giuliana Rancic as the host of E! News.
The two hosts have had a long-time behind the scenes feud and after Rancic announced her sudden departure earlier today from the lead role of E! News, many said that the problems between the two women might be the cause.
The Greek-American presenter has seen her career on the rise in Hollywood in the past few years, and nabbing the lead hosting job on the E! Channel would be another great step up.
Menounos has not yet commented on Rancic’s resignation or talked about whether she has made any final decisions to step into Rancic’s shoes.
Rancic is supposed to publicly hand over the job to Maria Menounos, but many who work behind the scenes at E! think the transition might not go so smoothly thanks to the rivalry between the two hosts.
Rancic’s last day hosting E! News will be August 10, so it’s likely that Menounos will be taking over right after that.
