Tourism Businesses Warn Greek PM Tsipras of No Deal Consequences

chinese-greek-tourismWith the economy slowing down as the imposed capital controls are now well into the second week, Greece’s most profitable industry, tourism, could be at risk.
According to the Associated Press, five associations sent a letter to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras warning him about the damaging effects the inability to strike a deal with international creditors will have on the country’s tourism industry.
“Unless business activity resumes soon with a restoration of liquidity, there will be an explosion of unemployment that will be dramatic and will wipe out all the sacrifices made by the Greek people over the last five years,” the letter read.
