No Results After Tsipras' Meeting with Institutions – Greek Talks to Be Repeated on Thursday

Meeting Tsipras with InstitutionsEurozone Finance Ministers arrived for a Eurogroup meeting on Greece but exited shortly after sinceĀ talks between Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the institutions ended without a conclusive result.
Diplomatic sources said the talks will be repeated on Thursday.
Tsipras made no statements to the press as he left the meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, European Central Bank (ECB) President Mario Draghi and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
According to Belgian Finance Minister Johan Van Overtveldt, in a doorstep statement arriving for the Eurogroup, everyone was waiting for the institutions’ report to begin the discussion.
“First we must see what the institutions bring to the table. They have been negotiating very hard for the last 48 hours…” he said.
“We need to reach a good deal for the Greek economy….that is important for every Greek citizen. We also need a deal that is good for the monetary union,” Overtveldt told reporters. Asked if it isĀ time to present Greece with a “take it or leave it” ultimatum, he replied that he doesn’t like “these kind of deadlines.”
He noted that it isĀ important for the IMF to continue to be part of the Greek program, adding that it isĀ wrong to say that the program for Greece has failed sinceĀ no government has fully implemented it.
