John Stamos tweeted to his fans that he was finally back home after his DUI arrest on Friday night and subsequent hospitalization at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.
Police in Beverly Hills stopped the actor and tested his BAC after numerous calls came in around 7:45 PM about a possible drunk driver on the road. He was found to be driving under the influence.
Though not a lot of details were given on how much alcohol was in his system, police took him to the hospital for a possible medical condition (no word yet on what it may have been), where he stayed for more treatment after a citation.
Stamos was actually very grateful to the Beverly Hills Police Department and his doctors at Cedars-Sinai, tweeting “Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.”
Currently, Stamos is at the center of two TV series soon to start production, and has a court date scheduled for September 11th, when he will be in the middle of filming.
He is the star and producer of a new FOX comedy series called “Grandfathered”, and will also be in the much-awaited “Full House” follow-up on Netflix, “Fuller House.”
Though he will only be appearing in the first episode of “Fuller House” as far as we know, his central role in the “Grandfathered” series means that the show could be in trouble if Stamos ends up needing treatment.
