2015 Los Angeles Greek Film Festival Kicks Off (Red Carpet Interviews)

The Los Angeles Greek Film Festival celebrated its opening night with a buzzing red carpet full of the biggest Greek-American and Greek names in the film industry. Sponsored by Earth Friendly Products, the opening night included the screening of the film “Little England” on Wednesday June 3rd.

Among the many powerful Hollywood personalities who are involved in the event were Jim Gianopulos of 20th Century Fox, Kary Antholis from HBO (and one of this year’s Orpheus Honorees) and “Hercules” screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos.

As for Greek-American faces in front of the camera, Costas Mandylor, Patricia Kara, Andy Milonakis and Michael Papajohn of “Nightcrawler” were just a few of the many celebrities honoring their Greek heritage and Greek contribution to film at the opening ceremony.

This year’s festival will run from June 3rd to June 7th, and will feature films from Greek filmmakers all over the world from Australia to Germany, with a good percentage of this year’s line-up coming from the resurgent film industry in Greece.
