Greek and Turkish Foreign Ministers Sing 'We Are the World' Together [Video]

Kotzias_We Are The WorldGreek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, along with other NATO Foreign Ministers, sang “We Are the World” together.
NATO Foreign Ministers met on Wednesday in Antalya, Turkey, for a two-day meeting. The state officials discussed the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East and Northern Africa.
However, the Foreign Ministers found a way to send their own message of peace to the world by going on stage and singing “We Are the World” together.
After the official dinner that followed the talks, Cavusoglu went on stage in order to thank the orchestra for the music.
Then, to everyone’s surprise, he volunteered to sing “a last song for peace” and started singing “We Are the World,” according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet. He invited his counterparts to join him on stage and sing. Kotzias was the first who responded to the invitation.
NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini were among the singers of the 1985 charity song recorded by the “USA for Africa” supergroup.
