Greek animator Robyn Yannoukos was recognized for her work on the Amazon Instant Video show “Tumble Leaf” at the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards, held at the Universal Hilton on April 24.

Yannoukos was one of just six honorees chosen for “Achievement in Animation” at the ceremony, as the lead painter of “Tumble Leaf.” The rest of her creative team, including production designer Jason Kolowski, animator Michael Granberry and character designer Drew Hodges were also honored.

A separate ceremony, known as the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, will also take place in order to recognize the achievements of the animation team.

Success has come relatively early in Yannoukos’ career. She was first recognized with a Student Academy Award just six years ago for one of her first films, “Alice’s Attic.”

Greek Reporter had interviewed her about her creative process, as well as her need to use her films to sometimes express her viewpoints on deeper issues, such as the sociopolitical situation in South Africa.

Yannoukos has rapidly risen through the ranks in Hollywood and we wish her the best of luck on her stellar career path. Expect to keep hearing about great achievements from Yannoukos in the future!
