Costa Navarino, a luxury resort located in Messinia, Greece, asked Oscar-nominated Greek cinematographer Phedon Papamichael and Greek filmmaker Athena Rachel Tsangari to create a short film for the hotel and the region.

The film showcases the unspoiled landscape and hidden treasures of Messinia and its people, a place with great historic significance in the Peloponnese. Traveling through the ancient Greek world and sights of great cultural significance, and discovering the region’s rich nature, this visual journey shows how the award-winning Mediterranean destination is a unique experience for your next Greek summer vacation.

The two-minute film written and directed by Tsangari shows a group of children exploring the resort, as well as the nearby area.

Papamichael, a frequent collaborator of Alexander Payne, filmed an unforgettable short video that highlights the Greek way of life in its best form.
