The anti-drugs unit of the Cyprus police, YKAN, seized 100 kg of cocaine, the largest quantity of cocaine found in Cyprus, Police Chief Zacharias Chrysostomou said at a press conference on Friday.
“It’s a very important case because the 100 kg of high-value cocaine, would probably be channeled to the Cypriot market,” said Chrysostomou.
He added that as shown by the seizures of cocaine, the drug ranked second after cannabis in the preference of drug abusers.
