Who Needs Viagra When You Can Eat Like A Greek?

mediterranean-dietDr. Athanasios Angelis, Greek cardiologist at Hippokratio Hospital in Athens, Greece, presented his research regarding erectile dysfunction at the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging in Vienna.
According to Angelis, all a man needs to fight the erectile dysfunction problem is to change his diet. Greeks prefer the Mediterranean diet. Eating healthy food such as fish, olive oil, salads, fruit and even a glass of wine every now and then can transform a person’s life, making them healthier and helping them “perform” better.
“The Mediterranean diet is well known to be a healthy diet, one that is associated with longevity, wellbeing, lower incidence of cancer and cardiovascular disease. And this is very important, because people can choose this type of diet to prevent or restore their vascular health,” said the Greek doctor. Erectile dysfunction is usually a sign of worse future health problems and the adoption of a healthy diet can help men moderate their problem.
Furthermore, the doctor even went as far as to say that such a diet could be a healthy substitute for Viagra. “What those pills do is substitute substances that can’t be produced in the body due to poor vascular health. They help restore a proper vascular response. But if we can restore vascular function by adopting a healthy lifestyle, we can reverse at least the first stages of the disease without drugs,” he said.
Cereal, fruit, vegetables, fish, nuts, olive oil, poultry and red meat –but only once per week- as well as two small glasses of wine per day are recommended for people who wish to improve their diet and resolve their bedroom problems.
