Greek Luxury Hotel Makes It on National Geographic's List

Kapari-resort-SantoriniThe National Geographic recently announced its newest luxury travel list of “Unique Lodges of the World.” The list includes 24 hotels scattered around the six continents, which are committed to excellence, authenticity and sustainability.
National Geographic has chosen the best luxury lodges in various parts of the world, from Australia, to Greece to Canada, promising its readers a unique experience. Apart from the luxurious set up, the list only includes hotels that help on the cultural and natural heritage protection, while also embracing sustainable tourism.
“Travelers can feel confident when they stay in one of these lodges that they are helping to safeguard cultural and natural treasures in some of the world’s most incredible places,” said National Geographic Traveler magazine editor, Costas Christ.
Kapari Natural Resort, located on the Greek island of Santorini placed 9th in National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World list. It is a restored 300-year-old complex of traditional houses that operates with an emphasis on traditional Greek hospitality and personal service. It is located close to a farm where the hotel owners buy much of their fresh produce. The 5-star resort also offers a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea, an exclusive Mediterranean restaurant, a swimming pool, and 14 comfortable rooms or suites.
Kasbah du Toubkal resort in Morocco was first on the list, followed by Fogo Island Inn in Canada, Tswalu Kalahari in South Africa, Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge also in South Africa and Tierra Atacama in the Atacama Desert in Chile.
