Two Greek clinical dieticians, Asteria Stamataki and Constantinos Xenos, wrote a book on Greek superfoods, not all widely known, but with miraculous qualities.
The book entitled “Get to Know Greek Superfoods” is published by Dioptra and contains well-known but quite a few unknown natural foods that work wonders on health.
Kozani Saffron
The crocus sativus flower produces the saffron spice that is worth its weight in gold, literally. It prevents cardiovascular disease, it is a natural anti-depressant, prevents Alzheimer disease and helps in weight control.
Messolongi Fish Roe
Its precious Omega 3 oily acids enhance mental functions, prevent cancer and cardiovascular disease, boost the immune system and have rich anticoagulant properties.
