Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades met Thursday afternoon with US Vice President Joe Biden, at the Mount Sinai Hospital where Anastasiades is recovering following open heart surgery.
The meeting lasted about fifteen minutes and the Cypriot President will brief the political leaders when he gets back to Cyprus, as he noted, in his first public appearance after the operation.
Anastasiades said that other high officials would visit him next week, when he is expected to be discharged from the hospital.
