Even though the Greek forward is by far the most productive striker this year, Claudio Ranieri refuses to add him on the national team’s roster due to public aversion towards him after his terrible performances in the FIFA World Cup and his missed penalty against Costa Rica in the final 16 round.
He is now the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer, keeping his club third in the standings and is a serious contender for winning the golden boot award next year.
