The 3rd Athens Flying Week – Airshow 2014

red-arrowsThe 2014 Athens Flying Week airshow will be held for the third consecutive year in Athens, Greece, from September 25 to 28 in the areas of Faliro and Tatoi.
The AFW events started on Monday, September 22, with the “Aviation Development Conference III” held at Hotel Divani Caravel.
On Thursday, September 25, the Paleo Faliro beach will host the established Floisvos pre-show. This year, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the “Red Arrows” of the UK Royal Air Force performing an impressive aerial choreography. Two Apache helicopters of the Greek Army as well as three sea planes will participate on the event starting at 5:30 pm. Admission is free.
The Tatoi events will include the Demo-team of the Polish Air Force that comes to Greece for the first time, the Demo-team of the Hellenic Air Force “Zeus” and groups from the Dutch and Belgian Air Force.
The audience will also have the opportunity to enjoy world champions Aude Lemordant and Francesco Fornabaio of the BREITLING team, champion Jurgis Kairys of VOSTOK, the Greek team «Daedalus» as well as the famous groups Blue Circe, Royal Jordanian Falcons, Orlik and Hawks of Romania.
The Flying Week places Athens among the European cities with the most spectacular air show demonstrations and contributes to the development of Greek tourism by attracting visitors from across the world.
