Thessaloniki Invites Citizens to Name Wine

wine
The city of Thessaloniki is ready to welcome the first wine produced from vineyards within its geographical boundaries. In April 2013, the municipality implemented the idea to plantĀ four wine-producing varieties of grapes in a vineyard opposite Kaftantzoglio stadium. The project was completed in cooperation with the Viticulture Laboratory of the School of Agriculture of Thessaloniki’sĀ Aristotle University.
Now the grapes are ripe and it is vine harvest time, so the urban vineyard will shortly offer the necessary fruits for the first Thessaloniki-produced wine.
With that, the city of ThessalonikiĀ invites citizens to submit proposals on the wine’s name at krasithessalonikis2014@gmail.com or by calling 2313318363 and 2313318364.
All suggestions will be put to vote online, while the produced wine will be donated to charities.
