Delia Velculescu to Leave Cyprus IMF Mission

The IMF announced today the replacement of its Mission Chief to Cyprus, Delia Velculescu, by Mark Lewis.
After two and a half years as IMF`s Mission Chief to Cyprus and as part of her regular career progression, Delia Velculescu will be moving on to another IMF assignment at the end of September, once the fifth review of the IMF-supported program and the Article IV Consultation are expected to be concluded”, IMF said in an announcement.
According to the announcement, Delia Velculescu will be replaced by Mark Lewis, a US national who has been with the organization since 1995. During his IMF career, Mark Lewis has had a number of countries in his responsibilities, including Russia, Morocco, Armenia and Turkey.
He will lead the team that will conduct the next (sixth) review of the program later in the Fall, the announcement concludes.
