Greek Cyber Crime Unit Hires Two Young Hackers

cyber crime unti-hackersThe Greek Cyber Crime Unit recently managed to capture two hackers messing with Facebook, receiving a thank you note from the social network’s representatives.
It appears, however, that this unit has made several innovative decisions without holding back as other public services usually do. According to Greek newspaper “e-typos”, the Cyber Crime Unit of the Greek police has offered a job to two young former hackers. In fact, both hackers were willing to offer their services voluntarily and without a fee.
The two young men, aged 19 and 16, were recently accused for hacking in separate cases. The court had imposed restrictive conditions, banning them from leaving the country and requesting that they frequently appear at their local police station. Then, the investigating judge made an innovative proposal to the two defendants.
“Do you wish to appear at the Cyber Crime Unit instead of the police station?” she asked them. The two young hackers were excited by the idea and very keen to start working.
