NTUA Administrative Employees Go on Indefinite Strike

NTUAThe administrative employees of the National Technical University of Athens have decided to go on strike and close the university, indefinitely. In fact, Monday afternoon, June 30, the NTUA administrative employees association had a meeting, during which they decided to indefinitely close down the school.
This was a shocking and sudden decision, because last week the administrative employees had announced their intention to end the strike and to reopen the school to its students.
The indefinite strike will create serious problems for NTUA students who have already lost several course weeks and are now on the brink of losing their semester. In order for the semester to be valid, a certain number of course weeks must be completed. Furthermore, rector elections had been scheduled to take place at NTUA in the next few days, this, however, is not be possible without the much-needed administrative support.
