Greek-British actor and filmmaker Simon Kassianides has taken on a new project, this time behind the camera for a women’s luxury handbag line.
Directing the campaign launch for Coxy, a premiere high-end leather goods brand from designer Chiara Rodoni, Kassianides helmed the sexy video with the help of Academy Award-winning cinematographer Daniel Katz. Rodoni, who financed, also produced alongside Guja Quaranta.
Kassianides became involved with the project after Rodoni had a chance meeting with him upon moving to Los Angeles.
“I met [Simon] when I first arrived in L.A. and have always appreciated his talent and his vision. We never worked together prior to Coxy, but I read his scripts and I knew he could be perfect fit for this project, especially because I knew he would be as passionate about it as I would be. So, when I decided to produce this short fashion film I reached out to him. I made him read the treatment I had written. He loved the idea and the project very much and from that moment we started working on it together,” Rodoni told Greek Reporter.

Coxy’s debut collection features pieces handcrafted in Italy using the highest quality materials. Inspired by the sensual silhouette of a woman’s body, the line’s flagship handbag celebrates women’s beauty and femininity.
The debut bag from the collection is currently available for pre-order, and a percentage of sales are donated to two charities — Beautiful ABC and Look Good, Feel Better. After her mother passed away from cancer two years ago, Rodoni decided on the charities because she says their mission aligned with the brand’s identity.
