“Greece All Over” festival is a celebration of hellenic culture, folklore and produce that aims to boost Greece around the world.
The May 30–June 1 event hopes to start a chain reaction of “Greece all over” festivals that spreads worldwide to provide new opportunities for innovative, sustainable working places to be created inside and outside Greece. Berlin will be one city hosting events at the same time.
The festival is also an attempt to connect Greek history and culture with Greek products and services and promote them in foreign and domestic markets.
“Greece All Over” is organized by a co-operative of the same name, which tries to bring together Greek diaspora, in cooperation with social institutions, citizen initiatives and private companies. Their goal is to bridge the gap between Greeks living in different countries, with an emphasis on Greek culture and history.
The festival will host concerts, documentary screenings, book and art exhibitions, consultations, discussions on matters of interest and samples of Greek cuisine. The festival will be broadcasted on radio by the journalist Grigoris Verroiotis, who has his own special way of doing his job travelling by bike, which doubles as a portable radio station.
