Rita Wilson has joined the Bystander Revolution campaign to speak up against bullying.
In a short video she recorded, the Greek-American actress/singer/producer shares her thoughts on bullying and how she taught her children to deal with it.
“As a parent, the thing that I try to teach my boys is that you have to be a leader, and you have to stand up, and you have to be able to say when something is wrong,” Wilson says in the interview.

Bystander Revolution, a crowd-sourced collection of things people can do to combat bullying, was founded by author and parent MacKenzie Bezos. The site launched in April 2014 with unscripted content from dozens of students, leaders and celebrities — more than three hundred 1-2 minute videos for a wide variety of problems and situations — each with a focus on simple but powerful actions bystanders can take to help.
Among the many celebrities who have lent their voices to the campaign are George Stroumboulopoulos, Salma Hayek, Jared Leto, Demi Lovato and Shailene Woodley.
