Greek-American actress Rita Wilson will play a supporting role in the upcoming book-to-film adaptation based on a true story, “Facing the Wind.”
The book, written by Julie Salamon, centers on Bob Rowe, a New York lawyer and model husband who tried to redeem himself after killing his wife and three children in 1978.
The film version is set to be directed by Joe Berlinger (“Paradise Lost”). Besides Wilson, the cast includes Vera Farmiga, Evan Rachel Wood, Alessandro Nivola, and Jennifer Beals. “Facing the Wind” will be selling at the Cannes Film Festival and is expected to begin production in New York City sometime this year.
Wilson is also appearing in the upcoming film “Kiss Me,” about a teenager diagnosed with scoliosis who navigates her way through her formative years, as well as “Dawn Patrol,” a drama that involves a surfer-turned-Marine who tells his tragic story of revenge gone wrong after he is held at gunpoint in a distant desert.
