“Chef” Cast Talks New Movie and Favorite Greek Dish

Sofia Vergara and Jon Favreau at the "Chef" Premiere

Sofia Vergara, Jon Favreau, John Leguizamo and Oliver Platt talk about their new comedy, “Chef,” and reveal their favorite Greek dish!

“Chef” had its New York City premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, and Greek Reporter was there to catch up with some of the stars from the film.

The indie comedy, directed by and starring Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), features an ensemble cast that includes Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, Oliver Platt and Greek-American Amy Sedaris. It centers on talented and dynamic chef Carl Casper (Favreau), who isn’t given the space he needs to shine at his Los Angeles restaurant due to the owner’s (Dustin Hoffman) rigid traditional ways, and after a social media tirade lands him many job prospects, he takes to the road to build a brand new food truck business.

We spoke with the “Chef” cast at the red carpet premiere, where they dished on the film as well as shared with us what their favorite Greek food is to enjoy.

“Chef” won the Audience Award for Best Narrative at the festival. It opens nationwide May 9.
