Have you ever wondered how Europe would be divided in two or three parts depending on the stereotypes that exist for each country? Have you ever imagined other colors representing Greece? A history professor/designer took to the difficult task. Yanko Tsvetkov studied the stereotypes governing Europe and created 20 maps showing and satirizing very apt perceptions that define different countries and dividing them into those belonging to the south, north, east or west. Let’s see where Greece lies.

According to this color map, Greece is classical and sunny and belongs to the new Europe. In addition, according to stereotypes and to Mr. Tsvetkov, the Greeks are euphoric, traditional, Orthodox, religious, sexually repressed, poor, lazy, homophobic, can fix their own sink, eat while sitting and speak very very very loud. On the other hand, the Greeks have a good cuisine, drink coffee, use olive oil when cooking, drink wine and love tomatoes.
