Greek-French beauty Adele Exarchopoulos has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic drama, “The Last Face,” directed by Academy Award-winner Sean Penn.
The “Blue is the Warmest Color” star had her breakout role with the foreign indie flick, which won raves with critics and audiences alike. It didn’t take long for the 20 year-old actress to crossover to Hollywood. Just a few short weeks ago, Exarchopoulos was seen dining with Penn in Paris, leading to rumors that they may have been discussing his latest project.
“The Last Face” also stars Charlize Theron and Javier Bardem. The story centers on a doctor (Theron) doing humanitarian work in Africa in the midst of political conflict. Exarchopoulos will play a journalist.
The film is scheduled to shoot in Africa. No release date has been set yet.
