Still No Sign of Missing Greek Journalist Thalia Hounta

xountaA mystery surrounds the disappearance of journalist Thalia Hounta, who has been missing since Friday, March 21, although her husband, Athenian lawyer Nikos Mpouras, has been satisfying all the demands of the unknown caller who is claiming to hold his wife.
Talking to a Greek newspaper, Mpouras didn’t want to reveal any details on the deal made with the supposed kidnapper. He mentioned, however, that he adhered to the instructions and claimed that they didn’t involve paying some kind of ransom.
“Now it is their turn to make a move and fulfill the promise they made. They must release my wife,” said the lawyer, who, without further communication from kidnappers, is worried whether or not she is alive.
Meanwhile, the investigation by the Greek Homicide Police Department has drawn a blank, with no new evidence on the case.
A taxi driver, who had delivered the journalist to an appointment she had told her husband she had at the port of Piraeus, has not been located yet. Footage from the video surveillance at Hounta’s collection point in Kolonaki and along the route driven by the taxi was also fruitless, as it offering no clues as to who the journalist supposedly met.
The investigation continues.
