Crete: Man Kills Himself After Murdering Father and Sister

greek policeA terrible tragedy struck just a few hours ago in Ierapetra, Crete, where according to the Greek police a 54-year-old man killed his father and sister with a shotgun in cold blood before committing suicide.
The 54-year-old is a pharmacist who for unknown reasons took his shotgun and ended the life of his 75-year-old father and 43-year-old sister.
After committing the two murders he turned his shotgun on himself. The most horrifying part of this heinous crime is that the perpetrator shot his victims in the head at close range, causing the destruction of their skulls.
Latest Greek news reports, although premature and unconfirmed, state that the man killed his family because of personal differences.
The three corpses were found in a pool of blood at their home in Ierapetra, Crete by the perpetrator’s mother, who was not at home at the time of the murder.
Allegedly, the 54-year-old pharmacist sent a message to a friend who is a policeman, saying that he had written his will and that they should do what it said when they find it.
Police are hoping that the preliminary investigation and the autopsy will help shed some light to more detail on this horrifying case.
