As if spanking Justin Bieber weren’t enough to get the attention of viewers, Zach Galifianakis took his online show “Between Two Ferns” to an entirely new level by booking US President Barack Obama in the hot seat.
In the video posted to Funny or Die on Tuesday, Galifanakis welcomed President Obama with an apology for “having to cancel a few times” because his “mousepad broke.” The two went on to talk about politics, before Galifianakis quipped, “What’s it like to be the last black president?” Obama came back with a witty response saying, “Seriously? What’s it like for this to be that last time you ever talk to a president?”
Obama also took a jab at Galifianakis by saying co-star Bradley Cooper carried “The Hangover” films.
After all the back-and-forth, Galifianakis asked Obama what he came on the show to plug, to which he said, “I wouldn’t be with you here today if I didn’t have something to plug.” The real point of President Obama’s visit on “Between Two Ferns” was to get young people to sign up for the Affordable Healthcare Act, a new health insurance plan.
