Oscars 2014: It seems that the high heels will be replaced by boots at the 86th Academy Awards Red Carpet. The most glamorous of all runways, the Oscars red carpet, might be a fashion disaster on Sunday.
A few hours before the show, a heavy storm that has been hitting Los Angeles for the past three days had made everything wet on the red carpet.
Although the Oscars production team has covered the area outside the Dolby Theater with tents, the water found its way well into the carpet.
Watch the Associate Producer of the Red Carpet and Oscars Pre-show Joe Lewis, and AP’s Nico Maounis, talk about the situation:
The rain began in Los Angeles on Thursday evening and according to the National Weather Service is not expected to stop until Sunday afternoon, hours before Hollywood’s movie stars begin their walk across the red carpet at 3 p.m. PST.
