Always dressed in black, with long hair and stylish explosive talent, Jim Yamouridis, is a Greek-Australian singer, known worldwide for his amazing songs and long course in the music scene.
He first started his music career with an indie punk band and sang with Australian violinist Warren Ellis until 1994. It was during that year that he decided to make his own band based in Melbourne.
He rose to fame with the release of his albums entitled “Origin” and “You My Friend,” which were released in 2000. However, during that point in his life, he decided to leave the world of fame behind him. He withdrew to provincial France, where he got married and had a child.
At the moment, he is still living in France, always making albums and concerts were he plays a country, jazz-Balkan and melancholic rebetiko, in the way Georges Moustaki used to do.
French press is very impressed with the Greek-Australian singer’s music, style and voice and anxiously await his appearance at his next concert to take place in Paris.
