Koufontinas Against Xeros: 17 November Came to an End in 2002

 koufontinas

A member of the Greek terrorist organization November 17, Dimitris Koufontinas, who is in jail, sent a letter to the Greek newspaper “Efimerida Ton Syntakton” stating that no one has the right to speak on behalf of 17 November, to use the organization’s history and therefore to claim that he is a continuer of its action. This is Koufontinas way of sending out a warning to Christodoulos  Xeros and any other who presents themselves as a continuer of the organization’s action.
Dimitris Koufontinas has written a book about the history of the terrorist organization which is going to be published in few months. The whole letter as it was written by Dimitris Koufontinas follows:
“As I have said repeatedly in the past, the circle of 17 November is closed. I made this statement back in 2002 when I was defending the honor of the organization and its revolutionary values that were humiliated by the confessions and were hit by the lack of support. 17 November has completed its circle. However, in our country a new type of guerrilla warfare is being developed that differs in many ways with the previous one that we as 17  November participated in. This new type of guerilla warfare that has been developed as of late must take into consideration our previous experience. Only the struggling society can say whether this new type of fighting is effective or not. Only the struggling society can evaluate the potential of this fight, the dynamics that can be developed and what the consequences will be from all this.”
