Fugitive Christodoulos Xeros Reappears With Manifesto (updated)

Christodoulos XerosNovember 17th member and now fugitive, Christodoulos Xeros has reappeared with a two page manifesto and video posted on Athens Indymedia. All traces of Xeros were lost early January after he was granted a nine day prison furlough.
Xeros begins the manifesto with the poem Thourios by Greek writer and revolutionary Rigas Feraios which reads “It’s better to live one hour as a free man than endure forty years of slavery and prison.”
In the manifesto, Xeros lashes out against the “crocodiles” of the mass media and a Democracy that “has long been dead.” He also warns against a renewed “cannibalization” of his loved ones, telling the mass media that “now you will receive the answer that’s coming to you.”
Xeros also boasts that was able to fool the prison authorities into giving him the furlough, allowing him ample time to disappear. Finally, Xeros will likely not be laying low, as he announces his decision to, once again, “fire a guerrilla rifle against those who stole our life and sold our dreams to make a profit.”
Xeros was serving six consecutive life sentences and 25 years incarceration for his involvement in six murders, bombings and robberies carried out by the November 17th terrorist organization.
Xeros’ disappearance on January 7 while on a nine-day leave caused alarm in the United States, with the State Department calling for his swift capture.
UPDATE: A large police operation to apprehend Christodoulos Xeros in the Athens neighborhood of Kaisariani proved fruitless. Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection, Nikos Dendias, has “no reason to comment on the thoughts of any terrorist, especially Christodoulos Xeros.”
