Authorities Fear Xeros Cooperation with Conspiracy of Cells of Fire

Christodoulos XerosAnti-terrorism authorities fear that Christodoulos Xeros, the convicted member of the organization November 17, who violated his furlough, has developed a close relationship with the imprisoned members of the Greek guerilla organization Conspiracy of Cells of Fire. Specifically, police believe that the Cells of Fire helped Xeros escape.
As reported by the police, Xeros had “frequent” contact with the members of the guerilla organization in Korydallos prison where he was serving multiple life sentences. Police authorities said that the contact between the terrorists aimed toward the revival of “revolutionary violence.”
It is said that the Greek authorities are investigating contacts between jailed members of the Conspiracy group and a convicted member of a violent crime syndicate, who is currently serving in Domokos Prison, central Greece. It is estimated that he collaborated with the Cells of Fire to help Xeros escape the authorities.
The organization, Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, is known for a parcel bomb campaign which targeted foreign embassies in Athens, Greece and offices of EU leaders in European capitals.
Greek police authorities and the Public Order Ministry fear that Xeros will help the members of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire improve their techniques, concerning the manufacture of explosives.
