A 42 year-old, unemployed father published an advertisement asking for a heating device in order to heat his home.
The ad read: “Please, I need a heater. I’m unemployed, I have two children and my house has no heating. I’m not doing this for me but for my children. I can’t see them suffering from the cold.”
He lost his job a year ago and his wife works part-time.
“A friend of mine encouraged me to put in the ad. At first I hesitated, but when winter came, I decided to do it. Luckily someone gave me the heater I needed. He was so kind, I will never forget him.” said the 42 year-old man.
According to the newspaper, “Eleftheros Typos” people who live in poverty often ask for stoves and firewood through advertisements. They even ask for houses to reside in temporarily, offering to take over the responsibility of paying the electricity bill.
