Bread in South Russia with…Greek Taste!

skordas-thanasis-The bread in southern Russia is going to acquire a Greek taste. Russian officials made this statement, after their meeting with the Deputy Minister of Development and Competitiveness Athanasios Skordas.

Mr. Skordas attended along with the governor of Stavropol, Vladimir Vladimirov and in a private meeting signed an agreement of cooperation between the Russian Federation of Bakers and the Greek one, on behalf of the establishment of Greek Russian Bakery School, in the historic city of Stavropol. This idea was born in February 2013 at the exhibition “The Roads of Bread” in Athens.

Mr. Skordas expressed his personal satisfaction for the adoption of a Greek baker’s model implemented in the Russian market. Moreover, he referred to the contribution of the Greek diaspora as well as to the governor of the region, Nikolai Nikiforaki. Mr. Niforaki developed the Greek-Russian relations, contributing important achievements through his innovations, such as the creation of first railway line, the hospital, professional schools and the creation of Olgio College for girls as well.
