According to the Canadian magazine Maclean’s, the Greek-born Blackberry co-founder, Mike Lazaridis, is 10th on the list of most powerful people in Canada.
The special edition of the magazine is entitled “The Power Issue” and lists the 50 most powerful people in Canada. First on the list is the current Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The article refers to Mike Lazaridis’s new project. He will create a new investment fund under the name of “Quantum Valley Investements” which will invest only in companies that use the quantum technology. He has also founded the company “Infinite Potential Group”– an organization “umbrella” for his investments.
The article also refers to one more investment fund, based in Atlanta in the U.S., with relevant activity of quantum technology. Finally, it notes that countries such as China, the U.S., and the United Kingdom will fund important attempts on quantum technology; they stated that if Mr. Lazaridis and his colleagues accomplish this, it will change the world.
