Kazantzakis’ Work Travels to Munich

kazantzakis-nikosA Literature Night devoted to Nikos Kazantzakis will be held on November 28, 2013 at 8pm at Lenbach-Künstlerhaus, Lenbachplatz 8, situated in the heart of Bavaria, in Munich. Nikos Kazantzakis is the most translated Greek author. The event’s main goal is to present Kazantzakis’ work, not only to Greece, but also to people from all around the world. Among those who organize the event are Kazantzakis Publications, Palladion Institute-the center of Greek culture in Germany-, the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis and the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Ioannis Zelepos, professor of the Munich university, is going to give a speech within the frame of the event, mentioning some things concerning Nikos Kazantzakis’ life and work. In addition, students from secondary and high school will be reading abstracts from some of the most known works of Nikos Kazantzakis.

The fact that there are numerous publications in more than 50 foreign languages, proves the international impact that Nikos Kazantzakis’ work has. Everybody, despite the language, race, nationality or religion can find answers into deep questions of self-examination through Nikos Kazantzakis’ work.
