Hellenic Police is on “Red Alert” from this morning under the fear of a new armed attacked. According to some sources from the police counter-terrorism division, the attack’s target this time will be the Hellenic police. The Greek Minister of Public Order, Nikos Dendias, seems to be aware of this situation too.
The police is on guard not only because of the accusations against police officers that are mentioned in the proclamation of the terrorist group self-called “People’s Struggling Revolutionary Powers” which took responsibility for the killings of the two neo-Nazi Golden Dawn members, but also due to Hellenic Police’s findings.
They have already expressed the necessity of taking new security measures in order for potential police targets to be protected, thus all the Hellenic police is on guard. We must mention here that those who feared a potential retaliation two months ago, for the anti-fascist rapper’s murder Pavlos Fyssas, came true as we saw with the New Iraklio’s incident.
