Vasilis Tsafaras a 62-year-old  man and the 55-year-old Aggeliki Panagiotopoulou, are two people who have faced hardships with optimism and succeeded to find love through the most difficult path of life.
They shared the food  provided by the Municipality of Kalamata to poor residents, and from now on they will share the sufferings and the joys of their life.
They both originate and live in Kalamata. As they reported to the newspaper “Eleftheria,” they met at the soup kitchen of the city and that was the moment that changed their lives.
“I fell in love with him” said Aggeliki. “Her good heart is what i love about her,” said Vasilis.
They got engaged on Thursday at noon and now live together.
“They are very sweet and polite people. We’ve all loved them,” says Maria Oikonomakou, the couple’s maid of honor and Deputy Mayor of Social Policy of Kalamata.
“They always come in the soup kitchen with a smile on their face and take what we give them with dignity. However, they haven’t given up, and are looking for jobs of any kind. Until then, we will support  them.”
