British Couple to Tie the Knot for 62nd Time in Corfu!

marriageA British couple who have exchanged wedding vows 61 times around the world, have chosen Corfu in Greece for their 62nd wedding ceremony.
Alex Pelling and Lisa Grant from Hull in England have been traveling the world and tying the knot. Each country they visit they have a wedding ceremony in line with local traditions. Their journey so far has seen them experience weird and wacky weddings, including a traditional Andean ceremony in Peru to a traditional tribal ceremony in Panama, where all guests were topless.
They came up with the adventurous idea two years ago, when the two of them could not decide on a unique, special and memorable place to get married. After selling their home and businesses, the couple started searching for the perfect spot to get married.
The bride, Lisa, said “we meet locals when we get married in different places and we share their traditions and that makes us feel blessed.” At the same time, the couple gathers money for Unicef through wedding gifts.
Moreover, the weddings in Greece and especially in Corfu attract couples from all over the world. “Many foreigners wish to marry in Corfu as they have previously visited the island as tourists. This island always manages to win people’s heart because they can get married in such wide variety of beautiful locations; in coastal areas with great views; close to buildings with historical architecture; in a magical place in the heart of the city where there are beautiful churches or even in some quiet villages,” said Lorraine Young who organized their marriage in Corfu.
