A symbolic event entitled “Pink the Bridge” consisting of a passage full of life and hope, is organized by the Association “Alma Zois” of Achaia.
The public announcement says “Come with us to cross the Rio-Antirion Bridge on Sunday October 27, 2013, at 11 am, dressed in pink in aim to build a human bridge of Life.”
In addition, Sofia Mpekatorou who received the sailing gold medal in the Athens Olympic Games 2004, will participate in the campaign. Mpekatorou is the President of Greek Olympic Committee “Women and Sport.”
The programs of the Association “Alma zois” are supported by a five euro fee to participate. The first 700 participants get free souvenir and collectible T-shirt.
The action is supported by the Region of Western Greece, Bridge S.A, the Association of Social Organizations of Solidarity, the VINCI Concessions, KTEL Achaia and Super Market Kronos.
On October 19, the association of human solidarity “Alma Zois” from George Square in Patras sent a message of life, hope and the fight against cancer.
