Tyrokafteri, tzatziki, high quality olives and olive oil, noodles from Kozani, mountain tea and salep are the popular Greek delicacies that aspire to conquer the menus of the best restaurants in Europe. All the above, along with the famous peaches from Velventos, the pulses, spices and bread sticks which are made in Western Macedonia and packed by local companies will be exhibited from October 5 to 9 at Anuga, the largest food and beverage fair in the world that takes place every year in the city of Cologne, Germany. 100,000 are expected to attend the 2013 edition of the exhibition.
The companies from Western Macedonia participate in the delegation to Germany which has been organized by the vice governor of Kozani and the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Kozani claiming a “passport” to the European export markets. “Seven companies were selected for the delegation on the criterion of their products’ high quality and their exports performance,” stated, in a press release, the vice governor of Kozani Giannis Sokoutis.
