The leading international exhibition for food products in Russia, which takes place in the center of Moscow city, World Food Moscow, this year included an exhibit of Greek agricultural products.
Among the 1,400 exhibitors from 69 countries there were around 25 Greek companies who presented in 10 pavilions a wide range of fresh and processed food to the 45,000 trade visitors of World Food. The visitors came not only from Russia but from the former Republics of the Soviet Union, and was attended by more than 150,000,000 people.
During the exhibition many events with Greek interest and participation of Greek chambers were organized. Among these events, particularly interesting were those for the promotion of Greek peaches, which already has a respectable share in Russian market.
Biological products from Greece, which become more and more popular product in Russia also made an impression during the events of the exhibition. These events are the culminations of the EU co-financed programs, which include advertising campaigns, theme business meetings, tastings, seminars and other.
The Vice Governor of the region of Macedonia, K. Karapanagiotidis saluted the events, while representatives of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, the presidents of the interested cooperatives and productive associations as well as Russian agents.
