Recently, Louis Vuitton enriched its Monogram high-end collection of contemporary handbags with a new model inspired by Greek Goddess Athena.

Aside from its feminine design and rich functionalities, the bag offers a strong signature in the shape of a V in colorful supple calf leather revealing secured compartments. Four-color declinations will be available for the launch: Quetsche, Aurore, Havane and Safran.

This versatile everyday bag is inspired by Greek mythology, more specifically the Goddess of wisdom, arts and craft: Pallas Athena.

The Monogram canvas is a never-ending source of inspiration, expressing the values and heritage of Louis Vuitton as the brand says on its website.

In 2011 Louis Vuitton perpetuated the know-how and creativity of the House by launching unexpected designs that combined the emblematic Monogram canvas, natural cowhide leather and, for the first time, colored calf leather.

In Greek religion and mythology, Athena or Athene, also referred to as Pallas Athena/Athene, is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. Minerva is the Roman goddess identified with Athena.

Athena is also a shrewd companion of heroes and is the goddess of heroic endeavor. She is the virgin patroness of Athens. The Athenians founded the Parthenon on the Acropolis of her namesake city, Athens (Athena Parthenos), in her honour.

Now she has a Louis Vuitton Bag in her honor as well!
