Commissioner Johannes Hahn announced that the structural budget heading of 1,14 bn euros was not exploited by the Greek Government during the period 2000-2006.
This budget heading could be a relief for the hard economic situation in Greece, but the Greek government did not use it without explaining the reason. The business news magazine Wirtschaftswoche will publish all the statements made by Commissioner Johannes Hahn on September 9.
According to the Commissioner, there is a possibility of extending the deadline within which the Greek Government can use the budget heading.
