Mega Channel, a major television network in Greece, seems to have entered a decisive turning point after the resignation of George Vardinogiannis, which may be the precursor of the final departure of the family from the TV channel.
Teletypos Television Programmes S.A., which is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, announced his resignation, which is likely to mark important changes.
One thing is sure, though; the new TV season will begin for Mega without Vardinogiannis, as it is clear that the family is no more interested.
The Board of Directors, which met today, elected in accordance with Article 22 of the Statute Antonis Theocharis to replace Vardinogiannis for his unexpired term (ending July 1st, 2018).
During the same meeting the Board set up a body again, and no change occurred in the distribution of offices representing the company.
