The Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras communicated with the President of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis and briefed him on the talks he had in Washington with the President of the U.S.A. Barack Obama and the Secretary of State John Kerry.
As it is referred in a written statement of the Cypriot government spokesman Christos Stylianidis, “Among other things, Mr. Samaras informed Mr. Anastasiades about everything discussed around the Cyprus issue and our ideas on the issue of Ammochostos, as well as about the energy cooperation issues and energy security and the other developments in the wider area of Cyprus”.
According to Stylianidis, the Greek Premier “also conveyed the strong interest of the President Obama as well as of the Secretary of State Kerry about the developments routed in the Cyprus issue”.
